GTE Zinc Dust is a fine, high-quality UP #6 zinc powder intended for precious-metal refining and a variety of industrial applications. Zinc dust is commonly used as a precipitating or cementation agent to recover dissolved gold, silver and other compatible metals from properly prepared refining solutions.
Its fine particle size provides a large reactive surface area for efficient performance in suitable chemical and metallurgical processes. It may also be used in zinc-rich coatings and primers, zinc plating, corrosion-control formulations, thread compounds and compatible chemical-reduction applications.
