8 OZ Sodium Metabisulfite (SMB) – GTE Gold Precipitant for Gold Refining
GTE Gold Precipitant is a high-quality Sodium Metabisulfite (SMB) used during the gold refining process to recover dissolved gold from refining solutions. Sodium Metabisulfite is one of the most commonly used chemicals for precipitating gold from aqua regia and gold chloride solutions.
When added to a prepared refining solution, SMB releases sulfur dioxide which causes dissolved gold to fall out of solution as fine gold powder. The recovered gold can then be filtered, washed, dried, and melted into refined metal.
This 8 oz supply is ideal for refiners working with scrap jewelry, electronic waste, and other gold-bearing materials.
